Meet Miss Autumn Readling!

This beautiful little angel is Autumn Readling on Father's Day 2005. To you, she may appear to look like any other child.

Take a hard look again...

This is Autumn today.
Autumn is a family member of mine that has made such an impact in my life that I want to share her and her story with all of you, our WONDERFUL customers!

Dejaroom would like to honor this little Princess Warrior for the amazing "BIG" Princess that she is!
Autumn has been fighting Wilms Tumor and has just been discharged from Duke's Bone Marrow Transplant Center.

Here is Autumn's Story:

Autumn was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor, Stage IV Favorable Histology on 8/10/06. She received 26 weeks of intensive chemo and 3 weeks of radiation therapy. Scans showed No Evidence of Disease throughout treatment and for six months, until...

August 7, 2007 scans revealed relapse to both lungs. We need a miracle--God is able! Please help us pray.

August 2006: Autumn Nicole Readling is a beautiful, happy, energetic 4 year old, who is loved beyond words. Several months ago at a well checkup required by the child care center she was attending, it was discovered that her blood pressure was high for her age. Thank GOD that this check up was required or her cancer would not have been found soon enough.

The doctor indicated that in a child her age, high blood pressure could be caused only by a heart or kidney problem. She first saw a pediatric heart specialist who determined that her heart is healthy and strong. Next came a kidney ultrasound & pediatric urologist--not good news. A mass was detected in her right kidney and she was admitted immediately to Hemby Children's Hospital in Charlotte for further testing and surgery to remove a malignant tumor. On 8/10/06, her right kidney was removed by two of the best surgeons on earth. The surgery was a glorious success and her remaining kidney is healthy and functioning perfectly! The cancer had consumed the kidney and had grown into the renal artery and spread to her lungs and she must receive 3 weeks of daily radiation and 26 weeks of chemotherapy treatments, most or all as an outpatient at Blume Pediatric Hematology & Oncology Center in Charlotte.
We have placed this precious child in God's hands and pray for her complete healing and recovery.
For up-to-date information on her progress, please refer to the journal, as it will be updated as new information is available.
Words cannot express our appreciation for your prayers, visits, thoughts and good wishes.
Donations may be made to Autumn's medical fund at any First Charter Bank by giving her name.

For those of you who have children, this has probably touch your heart like it has ours.

***The purpose of this email is to let you know what Dejaroom is doing to help Miss Autumn and other children just like her***

We are sending a gift basket to a child that is fighting some type of sickness or disease. Dejaroom will select a child of YOUR choice to send a basket full of unique and personalized gifts, custom made for that particular child!
Also, starting June 1st, Dejaroom will be giving a portion of our proceeds to their savings fund and to Wilms Tumor Research.

If you or anyone you know has a special child that had a disease, illness, or disability that you would like Dejaroom to sponsor, PLEASE email us ASAP! We would love to send them a Personalized Gift Basket and do our part to help raise money on their behalf! If we get enough children from all of you or others, Dejaroom would like to make this a permanent, monthly occasion in honor of the child.

Along with the basket, if parents will allow, we will run a special all about them on our blog, include pictures, the child's story, and where people can send gifts or donations in their behalf!

***MOST IMPORTANTLY, THIS CAN REALLY START A HUGE PRAYER CHAIN FOR THE CHILD, FAMILY AND LOVED ONES!***

If you or anyone you know may be interested, PLEASE email us at info@dejaroomgifts.com for more information!

In conclusion, PLEASE continue to pray for this little Princess Warrior and her family. We also ask that you pray for those families who have lost a child to a terrible sickness or who are fighting one as we speak. PRAY FOR THE GENTLE CURE!

HAVE A BLESSED WEEK ALL!
